Rocker Ozzy Osbourne announces Parkinson's diagnosis

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne says he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, a nervous system disorder that affects movement.

The 71-year-old Grammy winner and former singer for the metal band Black Sabbath said during an interview on Good Morning America that aired Tuesday that the diagnosis came after a fall last year.

I guess Prince's joke imitating him during the Las Vegas concert didn't age well...

I mean, one doesn't affect the other.

To the subject: he has a form of Parkinsons, but not the typical kind. Either way, he's on medication and feels better than he has in a while. No matter the life one's lived, something like getting diagnosed with Parkinsons or M.S. (like Jack) can be life shattering.

I think about Glen Campbell with Alzheimers, or the guy from AC/DC with dementia. Such harsh ends for immense talents. It only shows that disease doesn't give a fuck about your status, wealth or power.

He mocks Ozzy on the Live in Aladdin DVD.

It's sad. I like the guy. I like his family. Am positive he'll live on a very long time, however, as he has cut down on alcohol and working on fitness.

This is very sad news as Ozzy's life going forward will become very difficult. He abused his body for decades with drugs and alcohol, so in reality, he should be thankful he's alive. Having said that, I certainly hope he does not suffer too much in his old age.

For 65 years straight, the #1 genre in music, selling wise, was rock n' roll worldwide. Last year (2017) in June, it got de-crowned by hip hop. Hip hop is the #1 genre. It's hip hop - rock - country - pop or pop - country. ~ Pras

Ozzy was the favorite of my girlfriend in the mid 90s while my favorite was obviously Prince.

We would take turns playing each other's music. Not saying I became a huge Ozzy fan, but I did get to appreciate his catalog quite a bit more.

I just read this and pretty much sums up what I was going to say.
