what percentage of your weekly music listening is prince? im sometimes surprised when i see the enthusiasm for what i consider prince's less great albums on here
but i guess if you really love prince no matter what, its just about hearing prince, rather than looking at it in any kind of objective way
it is a bit like hearing a friend, or someone you know in some way, and just seeing what theyre doing regardless
but i have little patience for things like the plectrum electrum album or those npgmc compilations for instance
if i listened to more music every week, maybe i would investigate them more thoroughly than i have done, but i just think i have only so much time each week, so i would rather listen to someone else, or the prince songs i love, rather than the ones i thought were just o-k
what about you? if you listen to maybe 10 hours of music a week, is prince 90% of that?

Maybe if you weren't posting a new thread on here every 18 seconds, you'd have more time to listen to all kinds of music!

The vast majority. His musical ecosystem is so fucking expansive that you can listen to something for every occasion or mood any time you could ever want and that's to disclude the favs you go to every time.
Some periods in life, I've gone months with scattered listening. But the last couple years have been dominated by the vault releases.

Eww. More stats. I have no idea. Some days I listen to no Prince at all some days it's all day. Honestly I'm kind of enjoying that even with all the shutdowns there are many days I'm listening to Prince when I'm not playing Prince. Time keeps on slipping into the future...
This moment is all there is...

If there's a new release it'll be close to 💯. But I have to take Prince breaks - I'm not listening so much at the moment.

Probably about 80-90%. My daily wake up alarm is Pearls B4 The Swine. I typically let it play all the way to the end, then I randomize. My morning starts with Prince and usually throughout the day as well. The rest of the music is typically various John Coltrane pieces, or some old-school R&B.
