I really did like the song. Reminds me though of a game we used to play in Jr. high. You would breathe deep, gradually getting faster and faster until you were about hyperventilating. Then someone would grab you from behind and squeeze you around the middle until you passed out. Was weird and kinda fun until one of our parents found us playing it and it was banned! Not sexual at that point in time, just kids being crazy.....

-

Kinda fun ? Really ?!

Serious ?

I mean... just kids being crazy?

This is seriously unbelievable to me.

Games like these are cetainly not that normal (to me).

-

What an idea in the first place to do that with your Jr. highschool friends/teenagers?

Womever idea it was, to be honest...

This can cause a collapsed lung for instance - seriously dangerous.

Can not comprehend. Does not compute.

Well I'm glad you survided it. neutral

It's not something we ever did when young, but would you have known that when you were 12-15 years old? I know I wouldn't. Kids do stupid stuff.

RIP sad

after listening to it for a while now, the novelty of it does wear off quite fast. I'm sure this wasn't meant as a "proper song", just something to test the drum machine with. It reminds me of a song from a couple years later that has nothing to do with Prince but has some of the same influences and the vibe is definitely there.

Exactly.
.

I don't know why it seems to be so hard for some people to understand, but holding onto material someone trusted you with is not about ego or wanting to be an "elite trader" (whatever that might mean) – it's about integrity and being a man of your word. Whenever I gave my word to someone that I won't share what they gave me they can be sure I meant it. It's also business ethics 101: when you're a professional working with artists, obviously you'll have access to a lot of stuff, but you don't start talking about it, won't brag about it, whether you had to sign an NDA or not. It takes a lot of time to build trust with someone but it only takes one wrong move to lose it forever.
.

Can't disagree with the logic here...but man this is so damn good that it's hard to believe anyone could think this does not deserve to be out there...it just adds to his legend. He's gone...now it's time to share it all. Imagine another a few years...we're just getting older..

Apologies - After 400 listens, it's Prince. The verse near the end just doesn't sound like his voice at all, it sounds like someone impersonating his voice, though it is similar to the fadeout of "Neon Telephone".

The guitar and bass line are dissimilar to anything else he was doing at the time (and after), but then again there are hints of "Calhoun Square" in there.

So... yeah, it's Prince... just sounds so straight-up different... wonder what the rest of these sessions are like!!

I'm digging it tho
Download all the shit hop that you can for your kids, neices, nephews, and their friends also. That will prevent them from going out and buying it and will prevent some shit hop sales. Every little bit helps - Andy

And how beautiful is this? We’re all vibing off this song. It’s wonderful, it’s why we loved this guy in the first place - he brought us weirdos together. He was one of us - only exceptionally talented. And through that talent, we all found each other. That same person once said ‘Release it’. Release it all. Bring A little joy into this cold, cold world. [Edited 9/11/20 14:36pm]

-

Exactly. Prince brought all us weird 'cunts' together -

OK, i'll use that one carefully on me only though - for all others it's 'weirdos.' wink

I'm over 50 and still considder myself a damn good and interesting weirdo.

My music taste also got further and further away from mainstream, pop and rock.

But nobody as weird as Prince remained on my daily eargasm lists.

And having the luck kto hear this leak... oh man ! I'm completely into our little black motherfucker with the high voice.

-

That serious (cocaine) sniff he does here... uh huh ? ...Yeah right, my squre white european trash ass.

Bragging young teen Princey trying to make us believe he was the young black Al Pacino behind a pile of white powder on a desk. biggrin

-

"You're deffinately holding some tomatoes baby"

This shit too funny and cool as any dry or wet fuck.

I wish he was my best friend at that age.

Laaaawd!

-

Now, my dearest and lovely Michael Jackson, what did you sang about at this same age back then ?

Mmmmowwkay.... lovely, sweet... good boy.

wink

a For You deluxe is my dream. I live in those early Prince days and demos

I love how this one sounds like a demo. Yeah I clearer version would work to.
But something about the quality makes me feel like I'm in the space with him

LOL cool (Bro)

Yes, There is something about those times in general for me(early times 60s 70s 80s)

But 1977-78 Prince sitting on a purple lawn ...been gone since dawn is the foundation of everything

Sitting and working (and sleeping) in all those old school studios around Minneapolis and Los Angeles

I want more..
