the bootleg of Crystal Ball ..the song

therers a segment where Prince talks to the people of the purple underground......is that a direct admission of his input of bootleg releases?

Dubtfull as it was recorded in 1986 which was back when it was not much of an issue...

therers a segment of what? where Prince talks about what? to the people of the purple underground where? when? what's the source?.....is that what is "that"? what did he say? a direct admission of his input of bootleg releases? we have no idea of what you're talking about because your thread is as cryptic as can be, but it has been established long ago that Prince had no input in bootlegs, this has been discussed to death on the org.

OP unclear, unsourced and confusing = mods please lock

Actually, that was Susannah talking to the "sisters and brothers of the purple underground.." biggrin, but it is Prince's lyrics of course.

And no, I don't think it had anything to do with a message about bootleggers. The dialogue is "sisters and brothers of the purple underground find peace of mind with the pop sound. It seems when we're in danger everything gets black. Don't you wanna ball??"

*

As Prince wrote in the CB liner notes - he's talking about making love during war time, and based on the words above - also using the music to forget your troubles and fears.
