I think it's highly possible that Prince and Andy had a romantic liaison. Unless P was the wrong gender for her(I have heard a few rumblings to that effect sorry!) Outwardly their flirtation did seem to play towards publicity. The main problem I think most had with the Andy Allo threads was the tendency towards fantasy. She was the love of his life, they were secretly married, look how he's looking at her onstage so lovingly blah blah. A lot of it was stretching to say the least. I also find it odd not one person, including Andy has ever admitted a relationship happened. That being said, he most likely did what he did with every woman in his life..became infatuated, got the girl, got bored, moved on.

I've never read any claims that Andy Allo was the love of Prince's life. Do you have any links/threads to support this contention?

One can't help but speculate. He wrote so many songs about looking for love, finding love, and loosing love, and then starting all over again.

I never thought for a moment that either he nor Andy Allo were in love with one another. Her response to his death was more of the response of hearing that someone you had worked with in the far past had died then hearing that a past lover died.

Before her was Bria Valente and she seemed to want him badly, the more visible that was the more he seemed to push her away.

There were just so many "girls of the moment" like Liza and such. I don't even remember Liza's last name. She was a dancer from Panama who bore a resemblance to Beyonce in the same way that Andy Allo looks a bit like Esperenza.

I think after Manuela he wasn't giving anyone a real chance.

My guess was that he loved cute women much younger then he and he liked to be in charge all the time. The problem is that they were no match for his energy or his dark side. He could mop the floor with them, it was like a wolf dating sheep. They were bound to get the short end of the stick. Thos is my analyses only. Never met the man so really it is just observation.

Some powerful people like to suround themselves with other strong people and feel that the push back makes them stronger. Others don't want any challenges at all. They want followers; they are the prophet and everyone else is a disciple who can learn from them.

My other GUESS is that that is what did him in. Nobody challenged him on how he was taking care of his health. Everyone allowed him his complete privacy. If he had a shewolf type of women she'd have gone into his bottles of pills, questioned him and not given a care that he complained about having his privacy violated. She would not have taken "none of your business" as an answer.

There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.

Good observation. But the matches to his dark side existed too, he just couldn't deal with the mirror effect, that's why he kept turning to the light ones who didn't challenge him to mature and self-reflect. It was safe for the control freak in him but he never realized that this was the reason why he ended up lonely and not understood time and time again.

I believe the young people around could keep up with him better which is one reason he chose them. Another is that they didn't have histories and weren't "jaded" yet...they were positive, which he liked.
The downside of this I believe (when it comes to romance) is that simply put, they weren't ready for a relationship yet.

Someone exposed her fake DM between her and Prince on Twitter recently and it was hilarious. Prince asked if it was "a recent picture". She said it was taken recently on way back from The Mall.

https://twitter.com/iamLexieLo/status/872479071820763136

In January 2016 J posted the exact same picture saying it was a "Selfie" on way to P&M gig at Paisley Park.

https://twitter.com/iamLexieLo/status/872479724727140354

She was already dating him before the January gig according to her tweets the day he died.

Very odd he was asking if it was a recent picture. Did he drive her to Dairy Queen with his eyes shut????? ROFLMAO.

She's not the full ticket.

When I say "energy" I don't mean "energetic", lively spirit. You are right youth is lively you can see the difference in a kitten vs a cat, a colt vs a mare. What I mean by energy is that strong energy that forceful people have that gets them their way every time. The man had fought with record companies, lawyers, and anybody else that didn't see things his way. He had plenty of practice; tiny in size but T-Rex size in spirit he most likely ALWAYS got his way in a relationship with a younger women who didn't have his fame or fortune. Being young doesn't mean your naive or silly. I don't think they were, certainly not Manuela, but I do think his control issues and persistance ( traits he'd admit he had) could wear any woman down. I honestly think that he was a difficult person to relax around. Again, never met him and clearly I could be off track.

Well, I did and I witnessed this exactly. His energy was demanding and he had something very compelling. So much so that you trusted him more than yourself and followed him, no matter how old, how smart or grounded you were.

It was like he knew more about you than you knew yourself which made it so easy for him to lure you in and so difficult for you to get out again.

I just read this post of yours on the other thread and I could be wrong but what you state there seems to be very much in agreement with my experience wink

You have to remember he was also masterful at manipulating. And if others on the outer of end of the ring sensed something, they may have been concerned but probably not confident to say anything but almost everyone knew. To say something when the plane goes down is TOO LATE. To not keep him in the hospital is TOO LATE. And I know many people here would say "Well if I was there..." The fact is probably not. He did allow these people in, for a reason. Very few would have stood up. I know of only two and they were dismissed.

And just for the record, I appreciate your insightful posts, I just don't appreciate your wording on my experience as a "version". You are referring to him in the recent years, I was there in the 90s and met him here in Europe.

I ask that you wouldn't take offense as there no dig in that statement. A version of events, your truth, how you perceive is how you perceive.

In order to explain myself, manipulating is lying. He would lie to people all the time. He could not be trusted. Thats what I meant by disagreeing with your statement. Never did the option to trust him appear to me. I hope that makes it clear.

No offense taken at all, and thanks for clarifying. As I said, I appreciate your insightful posts. In some regards we are very much on the same page. Your first reply to my post here just read as a judging and negating of my personal experience, which you wouldn't have a basis for.

Yes, he was manipulating, his lies sometimes downright blatant, almost childlike. However, those were words. What we were talking about on this thread before was his energy, his essence. That was enticing, compelling. It's what cannot be explained and why he was so successful. How many times have I heard people say, Oh, I would have refused him, or I would have stuck around and saved him. And I say, No, you wouldn't. No matter how old, smart or educated you were. Before I met him I was also one of those who said, Never ever... and in hindsight I have many things that I still feel anger about and that I would like to tell him now but then again there is that other side to him that just made you feel love and that was very powerful.

Anyway, it's all good. I completely understand your perception.

I keep saying that someone should write a book interviewing tons of women that spent time with Prince. He was always looking for his next protege. I keep thinking of another genius, Pablo Picasso who both loved women and could also destroy them. I live in Massachusetts so meeting his ex's would be difficult. I just feel like there is a book there.
