5 women

Hi peeps! I've been trying to figure out the chords to 5 women for a bit, but can't really seem to figure it out.. lol..

Anyone got the tabs on this one? I'd be very grateful! Thanks in advance!

Here you go.

It took 5 women..(Gm7) ..off of my mind.
It took 5 months..(Cm)..wasted time.
But it just took 5 minutes(D7)..when I..(C7)face again.
2 fall..(Cm)all over (Cdim)..I guess with U (Gm)..I never win.

guitar solo:

E--8b-8-6-8b-8-6-8b-8-6-8b-|--8b-8-6-8b-8-6-8b-8-6-8b----
B----------------------------|-------------------------------
G----------------------------|-------------------------------
D----------------------------|-------------------------------
A----------------------------|-------------------------------
E----------------------------|-------------------------------

E--6p3-------8b-|-13/15--3-3---------|--/8---/6---
B----------------|-----------------5b-|--/7---/5----
G----------------|--------------------|--/5---/3----
D----------------|--------------------|--/7---/5----
A----------------|--------------------|--/5---/3----
E----------------|--------------------|-------------

Finger pick the D7 and C7 turn around chords & resolve back into
the rhythm (Cm) Cdim) (Gm)

The chords David posted are not entirely correct, I'm afraid.

The "But it just took five minutes" part goes like this:

C9/E Eb7

But it just took five minutes

C7

Then I saw your face again

Cm D+9

To fall in love all over

Gm7

I guess with you...

I'm sure you're right, Dave. Didn't check it, just grabbed them from the net. Great song, though. One of his best blues songs IMO.

Yeah, it's marvellous!

The D7-C7 thing sure looks and sounds tempting, but when you listen to the bass and especially the layered horns, you can hear it's actually something else, which gives the song its edge and makes it stand out from so many other regular "blues songs".

Wow thanks people.. i really appreciate this. I've been wondering about those chords that come after the Cm.. it's kindof a weird sequence as far as blues is concerned, and i really like what P is doing here smile

Once again thanks a lot!
