Bakery, falsely? accused of racism awarded 22 million from Oberlin College by jury. Yikes.

Something about this story seems fishy:

Isn't 22 million a bit steep? Blacks are unfairy targeted in real or not real crimes. The protests may have been out or hand but that's a lot of dough.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

See, I knew it;

An opinion isn't defamation. I hope the jury verdict will be thrown out.

A College cannot control what it's students say. Isn't Gibson saying now that hate speech is real? lol

$22M is silly but the dean of the school was leading some of the protests so they should pay, just something more reasonable is all.

Ross Perot was right!!

250K seems more realistic + legal fees

After watching Tim Pool's video, screw Oberlin. They deserve it.

https://www.youtube.com/w...iEj_qxpQrY

Of the 40 individuals arrested for shoplifting at Gibson's in the last 5 years, 6 were black. 82% were STUDENTS. Doesn't sound like racism to me.

Watch the video, or, go straight to the the Legal Insurrection twitter feed which has excerpts from the court case:

No but a publicly shared opinion that smears a person's reputation or a company's brand is libel and that's against the law.

Add to that, the college's staff, up to the DEAN encouranged this foolish behavior, so hopefully Oberlin having to pay out the ass shows other universities that their professors are just that, they aren't being paid to be activists. If they want to do that on their own time that's fine, but involving the students in it should be against the law if it isn't already.
