Joe Scarborough said something shocking today.

He was at his Mother's funeral. An Evangelical person went up to him and told him that he may be losing his soul! How so Joe asked, because you are not on the side of Donald Trump? What is wrong with people. This evil cult has to end.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

Please clarify.

Do you mean to say that an evangelical told Joe Scarborough that he, Joe Scarborough, was in danger of losing his soul because he, Joe Scarborough, does not support unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump?

Yes, but either you left some stuff out or didn't post your thoughts very clearly. Try again, it's important.

2freaky, your title of the thread says "Joe Scarborough said something shocking today" but in the body of your post you said that while he was at his mother's funeral, an evangelical came up to him and told him he was losing his soul because he is not on the side of the Trump. That is where the confusion is coming into being. Either Joe said something shocking or the evangelical said something shocking to Joe.

Also, I've done a search with every combination that I can think of related to his mom's funeral, evangelical's, lost soul, etc and there is nothing coming up. Where did you hear this from?

Joe said that at his Mother's funeral, an evangelical person he knows came up to him and said they are praying for Joe's soul because he is critical of Donald Trump.

I found it interesting that Joe's guest said that Evangelicals were responsible for the civil rights movement in the US. I'm thinking, no, they weren't. Then he expanded it and said it was "Christians" and mentioned MLK.

THIS IS WHY I RELENTLESSLY REFER TO UNREPENTANT SERIAL ADULTERER DONALD J. TRUMP AS SUCH, AND WHY YOU SHOULD TOO.

Seriously, think about this. According to Scarborough, a woman who was raised in the church thinks he has lost his soul because he's critical of an unrepentant serial adulterer. That woman has been brainwashed - as have many, many other Christians.

Some of them are lost causes. They've heard so much bullshit from Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Mark Levin and the rest of those enemies of America that they are permanently brain-dead.

But not all of them are that way. And we don't have to convince ALL of them that supporting an unrepentant serial adulterer like Donald J. Trump is against their biblical teachings.

We just have to convince a FEW of them of that.

Call unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump what he is - especially to Christians. Some will get the message. And believe me when I tell you this:

Real Christians value the Word of God and the everlasting afterlife more than they value their 401(k). They just need to be lead out of the trees, so they can see the forest again.

Evanglicals are not all Christians. There are many different kinds of Christian sects practicing their brand in the US. Along with all the other Religions being practiced by US citizens in every state.

Hence - The Separation of Church and State. One of the foundng tenets of our government.

The point is that I can't see any possible way to reconcile a devotion to God's word and the Ten Commandments, and supporting a man who knowingly, willingly, and gleefully brags about breaking many of those Commandments.

We don't need to convince them all. We just need to convince enough to matter. As you may recall, that number in 2016 was less than 80,000.

There are some supporters of trump that will never turn their backs on him. These are those who are out on the fringes if you will. He has become an idol to them unfortunately. These are the ones who have built their altars at trump's golden tower to worship him day and night. There's little hope for these folks. He can do no wrong in their eyes.

-

It's the ones who once voted for Obama in 2008 and/or 2012, but turned to trump for various reasons that may be persuaded to vote for somone else in 2020.

-

I'm particularly interested in the white women voters who voted for him in '16 and the infamous non-voter who sat out '16.

That is EXACTLY who needs to be reminded time and time again that Donald J. Trump is an unrepentant serial adulterer who cheated on all of his wives, including cheating on his current wife immediately after she gave birth to their son.

They also need to be reminded time and time again that he never apologized for that. Ever.

Some of them will get the message.

77,744 votes.

I am not commenting on shaming fellow Christians to vote against Trump. It may work for some people, I don't know about that. Religion or shaming is not a voting motivator for me personally, but whatever works.

OK, let me clarify - he DID say he never asked God for forgiveness. He DID brag about trying to bed another man's wife on the same audio where he said you could grab women by their genitals. He apologized for the genitals remark - sort of - but never addressed the attempted adultery with Nancy O'Dell.

I highly doubt unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump apologized to Melania. Her actions around him in 2017 suggest he did not, as does reporting from that time frame.

Regardless - Donald J. Trump is an unrepentant serial adulterer. This is proven.

Someone needs to ask Hope Hicks if she ever had sex with unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump. There's a better-than-even chance the answer would be "yes".

Here are some stats re PA, but they don't break it down between white men and women. They do WI and MI too.

The Weekly Standard (link) is a conservative opinion magazine with an extreme right bias.

https://www.weeklystandard.com/john-mccormack/the-election-came-down-to-77-744-votes-in-pennsylvania-wisconsin-and-michigan-updated

...In Pennsylvania, overall turnout was up from 2012 (from 5.6 million to 6 million), but the racial composition of the electorate was significantly different. Clinton won 92 percent of African-Americans and Obama won 93 percent of African-Americans. But in 2012, black voters made up 13 percent of the electorate; in 2016, they comprised just 10 percent of the electorate.

In terms of raw votes, that means roughly 130,000 fewer African-Americans voted in Pennsylvania in 2016 than voted in 2012. If those voters had shown up on Tuesday, that alone would've been enough for Clinton to hold Pennsylvania by a razor-thin margin.

Clinton lost white voters by 16 points (40 percent to 56 percent); in 2012, Obama lost white Pennsylvania voters by 15 points (42 percent to 57 percent). But white voters accounted for 81 percent of of the 2016 electorate and 78 percent of the 2012 electorate.

The big shift in Pennsylvania occurred among to lower- and middle-income voters. Among those earning less than $50,000, Clinton won by 12 points (54 percent to 42 percent); in 2012, Obama won this group by 36 points (67 percent to 31 percent). Clinton and Obama won the same percentage of voters earning between $50,000 and $100,000 (41 percent) and the same percentage of those earning more than $100,000 (45 percent)...

No one should ask her that. That would be Uber inappropriate and possibly sexist.

That would be gross though. I would feel sorry for if she had. I highly doubt it. She’s the type of woman who knows she’s beautiful and experienced with trolls approaching her. She knows how repel frogs with ease.

Ok. Regardless of how immoral he is, enough of America still voted him into office. Now that he's been there, hopefully enough of America can look pass their 401K and vote him out of office 2020.

-

I hear you loud and clear on the morality front, Rodeo. The problem is all of that is already baked in. Many people gave him a pass on the usual politician criteria because of his business background. Nevertheless, I believe the morality argument is a losing battle (right now). I mean, women still voted for him AFTER that same Access Hollywood tape you're talking about aired on national televison.

I would agree that some of it is baked in, but the Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal stuff - verifiable affairs - were not.

At any rate, I am an optimist and believe that people have a conscience and if so, ultimately will determine they cannot support an unrepentant serial adulterer like Donald J. Trump AND be a believer.

Those are mutually exclusive positions.
