I agree with Jon this should not be an issue. Even if it was horrifically mishandled... so what? Move forward. The cost is NOTHING next to what we spent on the war on terror. (I only watched 2 mins...I do not need to go to this church)

Look at the way they treat soldiers. Thry barely give them the equipment they need in warzones, so this isn't a surprise at all that they'd treat first responders this way. Shameful.

I felt for Jon. He's been working on this for years and our leaders dont seem to care.

A part of me wonders if it's because Jon has taken so many shots at these political characters over the years thst he's hurting the cause because of grudges, and if it was a less political advocate, or if it was a more right-leaning advocate would it get more support.

Still pathetic and sad no matter.

Who is this David Doel? Never heard of him or The Rational Review.

God bless Jon Stewart. Politics aside, he is fighting a fight we should all get behind.

Has he changed his stance from February, when he praised the Trump admistration in regards to this?

You THINK you know that. lol

I know you never miss an opportunity to ignore points and instead impugn sources... except when you use iffy sources yourself that is.

I guess since we agree about helping the first responders we need to find something else to argue about, huh?

biggrin wink

I don't need your biased advice about sources. I scan the left and the right and am dependent upon neither. Your "sources" commentary is boring and judging by some of those you've cited, hypocritical.

Sheesh! You can't even be happy when there is a topic we agree on. Just can't help looking for something to feel argue about, can you? You have a superiority complex or something?

Also noticed you're ignoring this:

I heart Jon Stewart. I really do.

"More of these men and woman are going to get sick and they're going to die, and I'm awfully tired of hearing this is a 'New York issue,'" he said. "Al-Qaeda didn't shout 'death to Tribeca.' They attacked America."

Stewart is the kind of compassionate person we need in politics. neutral
