the green deal is a joke or something. It would cost quadrillions. A simple bridge to Hawaii would cost 100 Trillion... and the impact on the environment would be huge...

she has proven herself a fool and you think it is even close to being possible?

She has a point... I agree it is crazy that so much is spent on campaigns. But a company...or the people that own or run a company should and for now have the right to support political positions as well as candidates.

and this coming from her who wants to close all private sector companies... AND SHE DOES... you have to see she is making this point to help herself.

AP 2/9/19

...And as the Democratic Party's progressive wing pursues ideas such as "Medicare for all" and a "Green New Deal," Pelosi is keeping her distance.

"We are results-oriented, values-based, and for the boldest common denominator," Pelosi said in a brief interview on Friday. "Everybody has a path to make their case, to see what the options are. I'm wedded to the Affordable Care Act because I think it's a path to health care for all Americans."

Pelosi presides over a 235-member Democratic caucus that surged into power in last November's midterm election, fueled by voters' anger against Trump. The new majority includes young, high-profile and defiantly liberal lawmakers such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who's a darling among Democratic activists and a social media phenomenon.

"There's a new crop of Democrats that make Pelosi look moderate. I never thought I'd see that day," said Rep. Greg Walden, R-Ore. "You see this Green New Deal rollout, you see this Medicare for all rollout and you don't see her buying into those proposals."

Medicare for all is a disaster!

do you know what happens when a person on private insurance is told the treatment is not covered?

the Doctor can offer to work out a deal for you to pay for it out of pocket....

under Medicare... you can't...

also once it is Medicare for all, there will be no such thing as malpractice. you will not be able to sue if they botch your treatment.

Yes, we will be thrust into the horror of healthcare coverage for all - just like the rest of the world's industrialized countries. And it will stop all those Canadians from crashing our northern border desperate for medical attention! lol

Texas City Councilman Calls Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez A ‘Bimbo’ After She Criticizes Trump

Republican Scott Dunn has apologized and deleted his social media accounts after major blowback.

A Texas elected official was roundly slammed after he called Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) a “bimbo” for criticizing President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address.

Ocasio-Cortez apparently triggered the ire of Republican Scott Dunn, member of the City Council of Richardson, near Dallas, when she responded to GOP criticism that she wasn’t enthusiastic enough during Trump’s speech. She declared in a tweet: “Why should I be ‘spirited and warm’ for this embarrassment of a #SOTU?”

Dunn tweeted: “The embarrassment is to have bimbos like you with nothing between your ear[s].”

After major blowback, Dunn deleted the tweet — and apologized. By Saturday his entire account was gone.

Fox is REALLY LOUD. But only @28% of people who voted - voted for orangetrash. And only @58% of those eligible actually voted. We have a sleeping giant of non-voters in this country, which sucks.

Well 100k people voted in the midterms... could be the giant is waking up.

...the new NPR-PBS NewsHour-Marist poll isn’t great news for President Trump’s reelection prospects.

The pollsters asked Americans if they planned to vote for Trump’s reelection in 2020, and only 30 percent of respondents said they definitely planned to. More worrisome for the president: 57 percent said they definitely wouldn’t back his candidacy.

She represents everything her detractors fear about 21st Century America.

Which is why her detractors, always anxious for the Next Great Political Babadook to scare the public, generate the bulk of online activity for her.

Yes, she gets a lot of attention. In about 5 or so years I could see her running for president, and that will scare the bejeezys out of the repubs/conservatives.

A conservative group is trying to turn New Yorkers against her by blaming AOC for Amazon leaving the city using a billboard in Times Square. Forget about the other NY politicians who were also against the deal and were much more influential.
